Product Description
Metric DIN 557 regular pattern square nut are four sided nuts. Their geometry provides a greater surface area to apply higher torque when tightening and also a greater surface are in contact with the part being fastened, thereby increasing the resistance to loosening. DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung - German Institute for Standardization) standards are issued for a variety of components including industrial fasteners as metric DIN 557 regular pattern square nut. The DIN standards remain common in Germany, Europe and globally even though the transition to ISO standards is taking place. DIN standards continue to be used for parts which do not have ISO equivalents or for which there is no need for standardization.

a)Steel, Property class: 5 As specified in DIN EN 20898-2
b) Nut of property class 5 shall be made of steel conforming to the chemical composition Cmax 0.5%；Pmax 0.06%；Smax 0.15%。Nuts of these property classes may be manufactured form free-cutting steel manufacturer. In shuc cases, the following maximum sulfur, phosphorus ans lead contents are permissible: sulfur 0.34%; phosphorus 0.11% ; lead 0.35%. As specified in DIN EN 20898-12
